León lies in the northwest of Spain and is a province in the autonomous community of Castile León, the largest region of Spain.
Its main city, Leon, oozes history. In the old quarter of the town, you will find most of the historic buildings in the midst of bustling winding streets and markets. Among its most famous attractions is the gothic styled cathedral which features 250 stained glassed windows and is well worth a visit.
